The average length of time for a DVD to go from one member to another is about 5 days. This average time in transit includes DVDs mailed to or from addresses outside the continental/contiguous U.S.
If your DVD has been longer than 2 weeks in transit, and has not been marked received:
-
Remember that the requestor may be away from home and unaware if the DVD has arrived.
-
If this is the case, he or she can mark it received when he or she returns home.
- If the DVD transaction is still active, he or she can mark it received from the En Route to Me tab in My Account.
- If the DVD has been declared Lost in the Mail, it can be marked received from the requestor's Transaction Archive as described in I received a DVD that was 'lost in the mail'.
If you sent the DVD with SwapaDVD Printable Postage and it has been recorded as delivered by USPS but hasn't been marked received yet:
If your DVD does not arrive by the 26th day (*35th day for items mailed to or from outside the contiguous US) after you marked it mailed, it will be declared Lost in the Mail at SwapaDVD. This does not mean that the DVD is actually lost; it may simply be delayed en route, or the requestor has gotten it but has not yet marked it received. If the requestor does not respond to your PM about the lost DVD within 5 days of your sending the PM, you should contact us so we can look into it.
