I love all genres of movies and appreciate the work of companies like Criterion, Vinegar Syndrome and Film Movement, but Disney/Marvel/Lucas Films also feature heavily in the rotation. Probably the first director that really roped me into film was Stanley Kubrick, but I enjoy eveyone from Hayao Miyazaki and Terrence Malick to Chirstopher Nolan, Cameron Crowe, Jean-Luc Godard, Wes Anderson and Michel Gondry and definitely Akira Kurosawa. There are a lot more folks I'd love to mention, but these are some of my favorites. Swapadvd has been a fun site and introduced me to lots of films and people that I never would have had the opportunity to meet. Thank you PBS and Swapadvd! |
