I'm the author of Shadows of the Eclipse, a Native American Paranormal/ Historical Novel, which is available in trade paperback or download @ www.wings-press.com. My favorite authors: Amy Tan, Kaye Gibbons, Sharyn McCrumb, Laurie Lansens, Roland Merullo. I LOVE Southern fiction...or movies set in the south. Besides reading and writing, I garden. I grow orchids, among other plants, and collect vintage postcards and pottery, mostly Blue Ridge.

Favorite mini-series is "Centennial." Even today just hearing the first few moments of the title music brings a lump to my throat.

All time favorite TV shows, and there aren't many... "X-files" and "Northern Exposure." I love the early years of "ER" and then there is "Raymond." Who can resist all those reruns....

I recently became a fan--putting it mildly--of Lost. We watched all 6 seasons in a row through Netflix, and I can't wait to get my own copies and watch them all again.

Movies, movies, movies: "Dances with Wolves"...of course, preferring the 4 hour version to the 3.
"The Color Purple" ...know that one almost by heart! I cry every time I watch it.
"Michael" I believe is one of Travolta's most underrated roles. No matter how down I am, if I watch this one I just smile and smile, from beginning to end.
Same with "Moonstruck" and "The Legend of Bagger Vance" ...they make me smile for hours.
Now, this one I really didn't like the first time I saw it, but by the second watching it was on my top ten list : "As Good as it Gets"... Nicholson's finest hour.
"Passionfish" ...how can you not love a movie with all that zydeco! And "Eve's Bayou," another with the same deep, humid, southern atmosphere.
"Pulp Fiction." A masterpiece of writing, acting and wit. Ok, so it's a tad gory, too.
Mothman Prophecies...Shawshank Redemption...The Green Mile...Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil...

FYI, neither my husband nor I smoke, but our damn cat does, so beware when ordering from us!
