"I have been been waiting for this to be released to dvd forever. This is one of my favorite comedies. I remember seeing this flick at the movies with a friend and we both loved it, still quote it to this day.
Gene Wilder is at this best as Rudy Valentine. Carol Kane is adorable as Annie, his long-suffering wife. Dom DeLuise steals the movie as Adolph Zitz, troubled movie producer.
Lots of broad physical comedy and sight gags (ala Mel Brooks). Probably my favorite Gene Wilder portrayal (over Willy Wonka even!). If you are a Gene Wilder fan and have not seen this movie - get it. One of his best."

"Along with Sherlock Holmes Smarter Brother this was another one of my favorite movies as a child. The scene were Wilder's hotel room floods and he forces a family to swim in it as if it were a swimming pool is hysterical. It's been a while since I saw this, but I remember many scenes of bust out laughter. Also, Carol Kane is adorable in this movie with her big blue eyes and innocent smile. It makes the scene were she is mistaken as a prostitute even more funnier then it is. I will definitely buy this when it comes out, but for everyone else I would suggest it as a must rental."
Yeah, we're serious! It's funny!!!

"To the grumbling entity below who has determined after so many years that this flick really isn't funny... it is you who have changed.
I just saw this flick for the first time in my life yesterday. I haven't laughed so hard at any flick in a very long time. Now, admittedly, I am a person who really appreciates silliness and things that happen completely out of left field.
This flick is loaded with little surprises and short gags and a few well-done comedy cliches from time to time. At no time was I ever bored, which happens in so many comedy flicks at some point.
I love Gene Wilder and I grabbed this flick and Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother at Fry's from an end-cap display a couple days ago. I am 40 and I've never seen either of these, and this flick is a scream!
And yes... Carol Kane is such a babe... a true babe for the ages."

"This is an interesting period movie comedy. I never knew it existed till I met an actor from Hollywood that told me about it. She is in the movie and is one of the 4 prostitutes. Very funny..."
They don't make them like they used to!

"I watched this a long time ago and it was great to see it again! They don't make comedies like they used to, and it's fun to see some of these old talented actors together in a great film!"
