G'day from the Australia Zoo, where the Wiggles get wild with Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. It's a Wiggly Safari: 55 jaw-snappin', kookaburra-hootin', dolphin-splashin' minutes of grand adventure. A big ham himself, Irwin ... more »meshes naturally with the tuneful quartet as they sing, dance, and share factual tidbits about cockatoos, crocodiles, emus, and more. Colors pop off the screen as Dorothy, Captain Feathersword, and little dancers cavort through the zoo. Packed with 16 snappy tunes, this particular Wiggles collection revs up the tempo from earlier titles like Wiggle Time and Toot! Toot! Could this lush outdoor setting, where songs like "Dingo Tango" and "Cocky Want a Cracker" sizzle in the sunshine, be responsible for inspiring this ultra-imaginative play list? Or perhaps Irwin's invigorating presence stimulated the fresh, lively feel of this exceptional show. Regardless, Wiggles fans from ages 1 to 8 will surely delight in this musical tour of the Australia Zoo. --Liane Thomas« less

My 3-year-old daughter would watch this DVD every day if I'd let her.

This Wiggles episode was filmed at the Australia Zoo, with special appearances by Steve Irwin and his daughter Bindi. Included is a touching song dedicated to Mr. Irwin, made more poignant by his early death. Besides the usual light humor and fun of the Wiggles, there is a lot of great footage of the various animals in the zoo as well. My kids especially liked the Kookabura. :)

A Fun Wiggles Video

"I think this video sums up what the Wiggles are all about - singing fun songs for kids and having fun while they are doing it. This video features Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter as well as your Wiggle Favourites - Geoff, Murray, Anthony, Jeff, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Dorothy the Dinosaur. The Crocodile Hunter is a scream! If you have ever seen him you know that his enthusiasm for life and animals is infectious. A wonderful choice for the Wiggles to make a video with.Every song is about Australia wildlife and not only do you get to sing about it, you learn a little about the animal from the Crocodile Hunter and the Wiggles and you also get to see the animal in a very natural setting at Steve and Terri's Irwin's zoo (Australia Zoo, located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia).I cannot recommend this video high enough, especially if your toddler is already a fan. They'll learn alot about Australian animals and have fun doing the dance moves to each songs. I have two girls - almost 3 and 18 months and they love this video! They are huge Wiggles fans. You will not be disappointed."
A Definite Must-Have for Any Wiggles Fan!

"My two-year-old son loves the Wiggles, and this video is their best yet. Leaving behind the cheesy backdrops seen in their other videos, they head outdoors to the Australia Zoo to visit with Steve, Terri, Bindi and the animals. The animal costumes worn by the children and by Captain Feathersword are great, and my son loves watching the characters interact with all of the animals (dolphins, kuckaburras, koalas, snakes, camels and many more). The dialogue between Steve Irwin and the Wiggles also adds an educational element that is lacking in most of the other Wiggles videos. The songs are so catchy that we've ordered the CD so that he can sing along in the car as well!"
Catchy and captivating for both children and adults!

"At first, I wasn't sure how my 21-month-old daughter would like this DVD, as it's quite a bit different from the Wiggles' television show. However, she loves it! It holds her attention even better than the TV show, and she sits as if in a trance when it's on. This DVD is set outdoors, at the Australian Zoo, and features the Wiggles and the Steve Irwin family interacting with various animals. The songs are probably the best of any of their videos-I find myself humming them alot! Also featured are the four dancers (two men and two women) that appear in most of the Wiggles Dvds-they're such a pleasure to watch, and genuinely seem to be having fun.Overall, I highly recommend this DVD! It's enjoyable for my daughter, and I enjoy it too!"

"My 2 children, ages 8 & 6, & I are HUGE fans of The Wiggles since December 2000. We have every Wiggles video that's available in the US & we couldn't wait for Wiggly Safari to come out! The Wiggles just keep getting better & better! The music is rocking & my kids & I are dancing!! My daughter does her version of "ballet" to Butterflies Flit, she's 6. We enjoy The Croc Hunter & family & seeing the Australia Zoo. We love looking at all the animals & the Kookaburra cracks them up & they imitate the laugh all the time! They love watching Captain Feathersword swimming with the dolphins & being his silly self! Everyone looks like they're having a great time singing & dancing (it must be hard to dance in a zoo!) & they're teaching children & adults as well about different animals & to make sure that you are careful & don't touch them because they're wild, in a fun & positive way. Anthony, Greg, Murray & Jeff have done another excellent job writing great songs! Good on ya mates! As usual I have more Wiggles songs stuck in my head all day long & at times I want to dance but I don't think they'd appreciate my singing & dancing at work! We also love watching the out takes at the end! Another great job by The Wiggles!"
Keep on Wiggling!

"For someone who is an avid reader, my life changed dramatically sixteen months ago at the birth of my first grandchild. Instead of reviewing some terrific book, I find myself reviewing my first children's video. Grandma got introduced to the Wiggles last month. I find myself compulsively looking for Wiggles videos we don't own. Why is this a new passion? Simple answer is my grandchild adores them. The Wiggles - Wiggly Safari is the latest one we have added to the collection and probably my favorite. It features Big Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter whom I have seen on TV and think is hilarious. There are songs, dances, and animals galore. The scenery is bright and there is some action going on constantly. Along with the boys from Australia, come the sidekicks such as Dorothy, Wags, Henry, and my favorite Captain Feathersword. This is a cute video. My only complaint is I find myself humming some of the songs, which is damaging to my reputation as a tough high school teacher! It maybe not be as educational as Sesame Street (which my grandson refuses to watch) but it is just as entertaining. For something to entertain the little ones and give parents and grandparents a much-deserved break, you can't go wrong with this video."
