"Wedding Peach is a great substitute, that will fill your need,
for Sailor Moon's last season that we will probarly never see in english. Wedding Peach of course is from the same creator & writers of "Sailor Moon" & is very similar to it. Wedding Peach is about a pink haired girl named Momoko who finds out that she is the legendary Wedding Peach, who is a Love Angel and that will protect love from the Devils & the leader Lady Rain Devila & her first of many devil servants Lord Pluie with his servant like creature Jama-P (who later with the help of just Wedding Peach becauses good). This story is also about Momoko's best friends which are Love Angels too, their names are Yuri/Angel Lily & Hinagiku/Angel Daisy, all three of them too have a big crush on the same guy, his name is Captian Yanagiba and he is a soccer player. He's a very nice guy, but he never sames to fancy girls at all, of course in the second season, which originally when it was first released in volumes it was a complete series or it seemed to be one whole series, is actually Angel Limone (I read about that). The story of course starts out fast & is never involving, but by the time you get to the third disc, the story grows much bigger & gets much more interesting. This is all about love and sometimes the characters same to be very shallow at times but they eventually get over themselves and focus on protecting love. The real story however is Momoko and Yousuke's relationship, by the way Yousuke is Momoko's love interest, even though Momoko has a crush on Captain Yanagiba, she later falls in love with Yousuke. In my opinion Yousuke much more in love with Momoko, then Darien was ever with Serena, plus he stands up for Momoko and worry's too, whenever she is in real danger. For the second season I never seen it yet, & will buy it eventually. Overall it's very cute, but sometimes the situations are not for children to watch, it seems to be more for ages 13/14 years & older, however remember this is not "Sailor Moon" & of course you can never take the place of the much bigger hearted "Sailor Moon". P.S. - On this dvd there are no special features about or for the show, except for ADV films previews, which are pretty cool. "A huge fan of Sailor Moon, This show took me back to the good old days of junior high school girls in ridiculous outfits kicking butt with cutsey attacks. I prefer to think of it as "Sailor Moon lite".
I'm more a fan of the second season then the first, but season one does have its moments. My favorite devil will always be the first, Lord Pluie.
I must admit, the excessive dress changes (from school uniform/civilian clothes to wedding dresses to skimpy fighting outfits) did get on my nerves, as did the girls tendency to get the attention of the bad guy first AND THEN change into their alter egos. Good thing they always win, or they would have had problems.
Maybe my problems stem from the fact that I am no longer in the target age group. No matter, all in all, this is a very cute show that I enjoy. Not for the very young due to some scenes, more appropriate for the pre-/early teen group."
