"Not one of Gordon Liu's best films. Directed by and starring Liu Chia Liang's brothers. It's really not all bad, Gordon Liu is always entertaining in my opinion. But still, his work with Liu Chia Liang is far better."
"You tricked me, this isn't real blood". "Oh wait, it is".

"Set during the Japanese invasion, Gordon Liu stars as a monk who must deliver a secret map. Eric Tsang and Lau Ga-yung ('The 36 Crazy Fists') help Gordon out and then decide to try and get the box that has the map in it for themselves. Lau Kar Wing and Lily Li star as the main villians and make a great team. I have never seen Lily-Li as a villian before and she is good, as always. She is actually my favorite kung fu actress of all time. Easily. She is underused in this but everybody is underused. The story is a stupid comedy. I cracked a smile a few times but the story is completley midless.
The action is quite good but sadly there are only a few fights. The finale almost boosts it up to a 3 star rating but not quite. This movie has way too many great stars to dissapoint as much as it does. Even Fung Hak-on gets in on the action a little bit and Kong Do shows up but doesn't get to fight.
Full screened and picture quality is watchable. Commentary from Ric Myers is Ok. He mainly just reads off filmographies."
