This DVD includes four movies:
Aerial Gunner - 1943 - 79 minutes - Two men become foes before the war. Then they find themselves in training together. The tension mounts as one is senior and the other is assigned to his command in the Pacific.
Battle of Blood Island - 1960 - 71 minutes - Two American survivors of an infantry platoon must evade the Japanese troops who control the island. Then when things are just beginning to look up, it turns out that their worst enemy may be their own side.
A Walk in the Sun - 1945 - 117 minutes - a WW II Classic. An infantry platoon lands at Salerno in Italy. Their platoon commander is killed before they hit the beach and other leaders become casualties due to the stress of war. What happens as they trod on to their objective and try to sort things out psychologically reveals how battle and war changed men and made them build defenses inside themselves as they confront their fears. One of the truly great movies to come out of the war. Many of the men, even those playing minor roles, were already stars in their own right, or became stars later. This is a movie you have to watch several times to catch all the nuances that it contains.
Combat! - an episode from the hit TV series - 47 minutes - If I remember correctly, this was the segment where Sgt. Saunders withdraws into himself as he worries about his brother in the Pacific.
