One of the Best Royal Rumbles

"The 2001 Royal Rumble was the last good Rumble for a couple years, so its definitely worth taking a look at. Besides having a great main event, the undercard was excellent.



The Dudley Boys vs. Edge (C) and Christian (C)

This match was decent. Edge and Christian carried the Dudleys through the match and made it respectable but its easily forgettable.



Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit (C) in a Ladder Match

Anytime you put Benoit in a match, it's going to be good, and when you put him in there with someone as talented as Chris Jericho, you're in for something special. These two put on one hell of a match, and the ladder match gimmick was a great way to end one of the best feuds in WWE history. These two took some brutal bumps and kept going. I cant rave enough about this one.



Ivory (C) vs. Chyna

This match really doesnt belong on a pay per view. Pretty much every women's match involving Chyna was a squash, and this match wasnt any different. Ivory gets in a little bit of offense and doesnt look terrible, but fortunately the match was short.



Kurt Angle (C) vs. Triple H

This match was excellent. Its also one of the few times you'll ever see these two wrestle each other. Great variety and pacing help make this match one of the best of the year. These two can really wrestle. For once, the interference angle comes off well and only makes the match better.



2001 Royal Rumble

Personally, I loved this match. Kane put on an absolutely outstanding performance. Aside from lasting over 50 minutes and eliminating a record 11 people, he just looked good out there, proving that just because you're a big guy, it doesnt mean you cant wrestle. This is the only rumble match to date which featured alot of weapons, though that segment started quickly and ended abruptly. Kane and the Undertaker worked well together. Austin's role in the match was overplayed though, and the Rock was dull. The wrong man won, or at least, the attack angle was just stupid. Although Kane will never win a Royal Rumble, he really should have won this one.



This is one of the best Royal Rumble events to date. A great undercard and a great Royal Rumble. The only weak spot on this card lasts about three minutes. It's definitely worth buying immediatly."

"1. Edge & Christian vs The Dudleys-Tag Team Championship

Great opener for the ppv. Some cool and innovative moves and spots. Dudleys Win WWF Titles for 2nd Time. 10/10



2. Chris Benoit vs Chris Jericho

Ladder Match-Intercontinental Title

Awesome Ladder match between these two great superstars. Lots of sick bumps taken by both men in this match. AWESOME Ladder Match.100/10 Chris Jericho wins



3. Chyna vs Ivory-Womens Title

This match isn't too bad, but it comes to an abrupt end when Chyna does handspring Elbow and severely injures her neck. 6/10 Ivory wins



4. Kurt Angle vs Triple H-WWF Championship

Great Match between these two men. Some awesome moves such as top rope arm drag, moonsault, pedigree, RAZORS EDGE by HHH etc. HHH gets screwed by Stone Cold, with chair and stunner. 10/10 Kurt Angle Wins



5. Royal Rumble Match

Definitely one of the best Rumble matches EVER. Awesome Hardcore spot with lots of weapons used for a long period of time. Awesome match with Stone Cold winning. 10/10



Royal Rumble is Definitely a must have, and one of the best PPV's in 2001!!!!!!!

"Womens Championship Ivory (C) w/ The Right to Cencor vs. Chyna: Dont watch it, reason I gave this DVD a 4 star.



World Tag Team Championship: Edge & Christan (C) vs. The Dudleyz:

If you like Tag Matches, watch this, this was back when WWE had tag divsions, The funniest part of the match was hen Edge and Christan hit each others with Chairs,



Intercontinental Championship: Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit (C)

This was a great Ladder match, the highlight was when Benoit dived out of the ring only to get hit with a chair.



WWF Championship: Kurt Angle w/Trish (C) vs. Triple H w/Stephine: An okay match, a little too slow, but there just calming us down for the main event. One thing I dont get is, there was no fued with HHH and Angle, it was Austin/HHH and Steph/Trish



The Royal Rumble Match: A great Royal Rumble, Trash Cans, Chairs, Fire Extinushers (Spelling?) are all used. The Rock gets chockedslammed though the announce table. The only thing I dont get that Austin won and they made him looked like he went though an hour of fighting, but it was Kane who did that. Kane deserved to win, instead he got pushed away with a one day reign where guys like HHH, Angle, Rock, Austin will always be main eventers."

"Great ppv.Matches were above and beyond expectation with even an appearance by Drew Carrey in the rumble.Here are the matches and the results with a rating that I will give from an 0-10.



1.Tag team championship.



Edge and Christian(champs)vs The Dudleys.

This was a great match involving Edge and Christian and those two half like monkey looking brothers The Dudleys.This match was great and exciting for the rest of the ppv with the Dudleys winning the tag team titles from Edge and Christian.Rating 9/10.



2. Y2J vs Chris Benoit in a ladder match for the I.C title

First of all Y2J is one of my favorite wrestlers and for him having to go through a difficult match like that against Chris Benoit one of the toughest wrestlers ever earned my respect.Really great match! 10/10.



3 Womens Championship



Ivory vs Chyna

Who cares? Match was dumb with Ivory retaining after Chyna passed out in the middle of the ring.1/10.



WWF Championship.

Triple H vs Kurt Angle.

Excellent match with a bunch of great wrestling moves and athletic ability.Kurt Angle can really wrestle(why do you think the idiot won and gold metal) and Triple H is so powerful and always thinking of a scheme to win or retain his title.Match was back and forth and even involved a cat between the hot Trish and sexy billion dollar princess Stephanie Mcmahon but Kurt Angle ended up winning thanks to Stone Cold.9/10



The Rumble.

Great Rumble with Stone Cold winning for the third time in his career.10/10.
