Other than money gouging, I'm not sure why Media Blasters has inconvenienced us fans by not releasing ONE complete dvd set of Lion Force Voltron instead of this two edition set. The box/case looks and feels more like a completed season than the previous five individual Lion sets, but then again, it should. The front cover artwork is so so, as it displays both Voltron and the team, but I wish they would not have used the same old Voltron crossed lion arms pic from several of their other dvds. The back looks better, showing modern images of the lions and ten small screen captures from various episodes across the top and bottom. This dvd looks like it should have an outer sleeve with better artwork on it. My inner fanboy wished Media Blasters would've recreated the Matchbox Lion Voltron toy box for the packaging for pure nostalgia, but oh well, I guess I was out the day they were asking for suggestions. Ha Ha. In closing, I guess having two condensed cases is better than five taking up space in my collection. I haven't opened the set yet, will get back with those details later. I hope this set has at least all of the bonus content from the "individual" volumes, if not more. I'm crossing my fingers that it does, and that the three previous Vehicle Voltron volumes get condensed into ONE set.
WARNING !!! BEWARE !!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just opened the set today (6/18/10) and it's the same discs (same artwork) from the individual sets packed around a frickin' spindle like a pack of recordable dvd-r's. There's no booklet or extras, just this poor excuse of a collection which I could've made myself. I'm guessing Lion Force Part 2 is probably the same way. Shame on you Media Blasters and World Events Productions for not making this the ultimate collection that it should've been. If you already bought the previous five sets (which at least is packaged better), then don't buy this Part 1 or Part 2."
