A psycho killer is slashing his way across a New England college campus, murdering co-eds according to the "rules" set by well known Urban Legends. Can Alicia Witt figure out who the nut job is before none of her friends are left?
This was one of the better late 90s "whodunit horror" flicks that followed in the wake of Wes Craven's "Scream." The murder scenes are well staged, there's just the right amount of gore and the cast (including Tara Reid and Rebecca Gayheart, both pre-meltdown) is attractive.
Not a classic for the ages but a decent time waster, and certainly better than either of the two "Urban Legend" sequels that followed.

An entertaining and overall harmless slasher film with a sense of humor. If you're a fan of slasher films well worth checking out. Minimal gore.

This movie amused me greatly. Robert Englund is a horror icon and could've been the only person in the film and I'd have liked it. I personally enjoyed Michael Rosenbaum in this film, especially when he's in class and says, "Mikey likes it." That makes me laugh every time. Not exactly anything new, but a fun teen horror romp based on urban legends(obviously).
