"I want to kiss the guy that put together this video! Right on the lips. The Ultimate Strike Force is 45 minutes of non-stop flight action without a word of commentary. In fact, the only voices you hear are from the cockpit. The sound track is almost always sensational. And the music track is not too bad, either. (Well, if you've got a complaint about the music, you should be watching MTV.) Turn up the bass and annoy the neighbors.Featured are eight different fighters, many shots of armament deployment (some in glorious slow motion) and target destruction, some landings and take-offs, both ground and carrier, an all too short ejection sequence, and lots upon lots of to-die-for air-to-air footage. There is a shot of a Sukhoi Su-27 doing an end-over-end that I didn't think was possible. My other favorite is an aircraft carrier landing from the pilot's POV. I've heard that a carrier landing is like having sex in the middle of a car crash. While the feeling isn't quite conveyed here, I think it's the closest we mere mortals will ever get without actually being there. IMAX please make this your next project! Please please please! This disk is dirt cheap but even so I hesitated buying it when I saw Madacy produced it. I have the NASA 25 Years 5-pack, the Ghost Stories 3-pack and The Ultimate Space Experience, all from Madacy. With the exception of the last title, these are O.K. videos, if the subject matter interests you. But I'm extremely put off by the lousy production values of the DVDs. The scene access of each makes no sense, and the info pages are unreadable. Not so with this baby. The full-motion index has direct access to each of the eight featured fighters. And the spec pages can actually be read, although they still could be betterComplaint department: this thing is WAY too short! There are a few short animated shots that were quite realistic looking, but had no business being here. A couple of times there is the same shot of a pilot's gloved hand pulling the trigger. I guess this is supposed to tell me something is about to be fired, like I need to know. A few of the sound effects could have been better. But none of this distracted from my enjoyment of this video. I think editor Frank D'Aurio did a wonderful job. Did I mention this was WAY too short? If you got wood watching Top Gun, you're in for a treat with The Ultimate Strike Force. Make sure you've got an extra pair of shorts."

"WOW ALL FLYING!!!
I bought this for my 4 yr. old for x-mas. After purchasing Top-Gun, I noticed he only liked the flying scenes... Well, when it arrived, of course I had to PREVIEW it (like Santa would do! hehehe!).
I was very pleased to see ALL FLYING, very good views, and alot of action. I was only displeased at the soundtrack. But I heard all of it to make this review, (I'll turn on my Cd-player in the background when he watches it.)
The editing, and cut away shots don't match up enouph for a "perfectionist" adult dvd'ist like myself. But I know my little boy will Love me for it! MERRY X-MAS Son! I'm sure all kids that like flying would enjoy this more than any Documentary style Dvd!"

"The DVD offers some of the best fighter jet scenes I had ever seen. All of the new state-of-the-art aircraft were featured in the video. From the new European fighters, to the newest Mig, to the advanced F-22 Raptor. I was expecting a documentary style feature, but instead they are multiple scenes of the aircraft, and music playing in the background. The music was mostly 80's rock, and seem pretty boring to me. However, I didn't mind the music because the angles in which the aircraft were captured were pretty amazing. If you expect to learn something from this video, try looking at Wings. Not a word is mentioned here, except for a few pilot chatter, otherwise is just aircraft and music."
Well worth the bucks

"This DVD is excellent. Nothing but flying. It shows many of the worlds fighters in flight, weapon tests and other footage. It's very cheap and the footage is amazing. No commentary just pure flight. I have watched it about 50 times and enjoy it every time. My only complaints are it's a little short [But then look at the price and length of the average Imax film.] The music is a little annoying. But for the price it is worth it."
