Adam Sandler in a totally different type of role. I thought the movie was slow-paced and not necessarily my cup of tea.

I think the Safdie Brothers (directors) like making irritating films of unlikable characters. This is an awful movie. If you think you'd enjoy watching a crude, unlikable person who basically yells at everyone he encounters make one poor decision after another then this is your cup of tea. I'll be honest; I watched 1 hour of this 2+ hour flick and felt like it had been 3 days. Unpleasant.

I could have done without alot of the language and attitude in this but it made more sense as you got deeper into the plotline. Funnyman Adam Sandler was not so funny in this and played more of a crazy and serious role. The ending was unexpected and this is a must for Sandler, basketball, jewelry and gangster fans! I think the Amazon and Swap ratings speak for themselves that others liked this movie. If you don't like gritty movies, then DO NOT WATCH THIS.
