"This is not a bad event. Competing are mostly French-Canadian combatants. The historical highlight here is the debut of future star Georges St. Pierre, who is currently making waves in the UFC. He wins his fight, but it is certainly a lackluster fight. He takes on Ivan Menjivar - a worthy opponent, but the fight is stopped prematurely. You get a really good sense as to how far St. Pierre has come since this fight.
Also in this event is a fight between Joe Doerksen and David "The Crow" Louseau. Louseau is a fan favorite in Quebec and he receives a lot of love from the crowd. He barely squeaks this one out in a decision. Doerksen gives an impressive performance and could easily have been given the decision, as well.
The main event features Jeremy Horn, the ultra-experienced UFC veteran. He wins in less than 30 seconds with a slam/KO.
Although there are a few disqualifications, this is a pretty entertaining fight event. There are some good moments, including a really stunning kick KO by John Allessio. There is some decent commentary (in english), although most of the fighters are speaking French."
