As a person who coached baseball and softball and spent many hours at the fields practicing with my daughter who played hardball and softball, the part of the movie when he pitched to her and she hit it deep and went into a homerun trot brought back memories. This couldn't be more formulaic! My wife and I were making jokes about the plot line during the first 20 minutes, and the biggest one we made came true!
