It's rare that a movie manages to retain all the same actors for a sequel, especially when one of those actors went on to superstardom like Helen Hunt. Trancers 2 is a direct-to-video exploit that is fun to watch with a plot that is equal parts nonsensical and intellectual. I'm always impressed when sequels manage to be true to their predecessors, and Trancers II is consistent. Overall, fun action and sci-fi weirdness - the "two wives" concept being a particularly interesting dilemma for the protagonist: what if you remarried years after your last wife had died, only to find out she was still alive through the miracles of time travel? Yikes! What a no-win situation...
