"It is a good DVD, but beware: this workout or DVD is already included when you purchase the "Total Body Workout" that precedes this one.
I made the mistake of getting both, why should you??"
This workout nearly killed me

"Soon to be 60, I have enjoyed and benefited from Tom Holland's ab workout and total body #1. But this one from the very beginning had me doing lunges with weights and overhead presses. I thought I was going to have a heart attack, so I went back to #1. I am sure it is a great workout, but I think I need a few months until I am ready!"
A short, fast-paced workout that targets the entire body wit

"This is Tom Holland's second Total Body Workout. At just 24 minutes, it is significantly shorter than his earlier workout, but the use of compound moves makes this second workout more intense. Like all of Tom's videos, the workout is shot in "real time," meaning there are no edits; it's just you and Tom working out one-on-one. The Main DVD Menu offers options for "Complete Workout 2" or "Exercise Menu 2." If you click on the latter, you will obtain a list of all the exercises as follows:
1. Lunges with Curls/Presses
2. Lunges with Front/Side Raises
3. Triceps Kick Backs
4. Dumbbell Row
5. Bent Knee Pulls (abs)
6. Plank
7. Push-Ups
8. Plie Squat with Bicep Curls
9. Stationary Lunge and Press
10. Stationary Lunge
11. Lunge with Front/Side Raises
12. Squat with Side Raise
13. Triceps Pulses
14. Bent over Flies
15. Raised Bent Knee Obliques
16. Plank with Leg Raise
17. Backward Lunge with Bicep Curl
18. Backward Lunge with Press
19. Backward Lunge with Front/Side Raise
20. Dumbbell Row with Pulse
21. Squat with Weights
22. Dumbbell Press (abs)
For a warm-up, Tom just has you do whatever cardio moves you like for 1 minute, and he encourages you to cool down on your own. As you can see, Tom really likes lunges! Although there are a ton of lunges, overall, the workout felt more upper body focused--ie, my upper body felt way more fatigued than my lower by the end of the workout, and I had trouble executing some of the upper body moves because of this. You'd be surprised how worn-out you can get in just 24 minutes! There isn't anything new and different about these exercises, and there's not much of a "fun factor" to this workout, but if you like compound movements and are looking to do some straight-forward strength training in a short amount of time, this workout should serve you well.
One final note: Previous reviewers mentioned that this DVD includes Tom's original Total Body Workout. That was definitely not the case with my DVD; as mentioned above, the Main Menu includes options for Workout 2 only."
Terrific Follow-Up To Total Body Work Out

"This is a terrific follow-up to Tom Holland's first DVD, "Total Body Work Out".
This work out is based on a series of fast-paced compound moves (or "combo moves", as Tom calls them). This is a terrific work out and is NOT identical to anything included in the first DVD. I was glad I purchased both DVDs as they really complement each other.
Hoping to see more videos by Tom Holland...

Be prepared to work hard, but the results are excellent

"I have been exercising to Tom Holland's Total Body Workout II DVD for a month. Despite the fact that I am (and started out) in very good shape, it is a difficult workout. It is a no nonsense DVD where Tom is the only person shown and his brother is the only musician singing and playing in the background. Tom performs the exercises in just over 20 minutes and you follow along (if you can).
The results for me so far have been excellent. In just one month at 3 to 4 times a week, I have noticed a significant change in my upper and lower body strength as well as in my endurance. I fully expect to continue seeing good progress in the coming months.
Update on March 16, 2009: Using only this DVD for less than four months, I have increased my chest size by 2 inches and have decreased my waist size also by 2 inches.
