A must for people of this era but be warned that the sound and film quality is lousy and the plotlines are not great if others want to check it out.

Slapstick comedy was pretty much out of style back in 1962 when this film was released to theaters. The strain of working in short subjects at Columbia Pictures for years on end certainly aged Moe Howard and Larry Fine and their outdated comedy really did not work well in the 1960's. Curly Joe DeRita certainly could not fill the shoes of Curly Howard nor Shemp Howard...not even close. So, with all that said, this movie is a flop. Poor special effects, no recognizable co-stars, and a disjointed messy science fiction-ish plot can't save this movie. Columbia Pictures should have had the good sense to do one of two things to make this movie better... 1) feature some known stars as co-stars to the Stooge antics 2)Inject some timely comedy into the film instead of worn-out sight gags and corny humor. If you want to see Three Stooges pandemonium at it's best, check out some of the early short subjects from the Curly years. Just don't make the mistake of thinking that these are the real Stooges and force laughter during the sparse comedy bits of this movie.
