Abel falls hopelessly in love with Beatriz, even though she is the daughter of the man he considers one of the most corrupt politicians. Ignacio, filled with jealousy and rage, tries to destroy Abel s credibility and intentions toward Beatriz so he won t lose her. Now the Manriquez family must live out one of the most intense and difficult elections, giving rise to a fight for power, glory and the family name. Amidst all this chaos, Ignacio will have to make a choice between his one true love or power.

A través de los años Ignacio no ha podido olvidar a su verdadero y único amor, no ha podido olvidar a Beatriz Manriquez, media hermana de Maricarmen su esposa. Beatriz al ingresar al partido, conoce a Abel Santana, un caricaturista politico quien le salva la vida de un atentado contra su vida. Abel se enamora perdidamente de Beatriz, a pesar de ser hija del que considera el más corrupto de los politicos. Ignacio lleno de rabia y celos intenta destruir la credibilidad e intenciones que Abel tiene con Beatriz para evitar perderla. La familia Manriquez ahora va a vivir una de las elecciones más intensas y difíciles, la lucha por el poder, la gloria y el nombre de la familia. Dentro de todo este caos, Ignacio tendrá que decidir entre el verdadero amor o el poder.

"What I can't understand is why they would cut so much out of the DVD set, when they repeat the credits after each major chapter. If they would have cut out all the repeat credits prehaps they could have included more of the story!!!! The last side is cut up so much that you don't even know how Beatriz found her mother - please someone please tell me. And what's up with Juventino killing Ignacio's father. And what the heck happen to Marycarmen? My goodness what knuckhead at TV Azteca authorized the release of this DVD in it's state."

"It began as a very interesting and different story...then suddenly, there have been so many useless cuts in the film that you do not understand what has happening...the father who was a high figure in politics suddenly is in hiding for having killed people, what has happening to the wife etc...I even wrote to the company editing the movie and i have even not received an answer...looks like they edited the film quickly while sleeping or in between...Do not buy this NOT RECOMMENDED"
