Great Show but no good features and picked bad episodes
Dingleberry Jones | up yer @$$ | 10/04/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I used to watch this when I was a little 5 to 10 year old kid. I was very upset when it was cancelled. Finally it is available on DVD. Unfortunately, they picked some of the least entertaining episodes. There were 3 seasons, the first two were great but after those two they changed not only the name (NEW Tales from the Cryptkeeper) but the style changed, they were more into morals than scares. Every single episode is from season 3.

The special features are more like special feature. They are just safety tips for your kids when they go trick-or-treating. Obviously, little kids could care less about safety tips on Halloween. They just want to go and have fun. Besides, most little kids can't even remember the series anyways so most people who are buying these DVDs are people who miss childhood and want to re-live it in 75 minutes.

However, there is some good news. I have heard that on Volume 2 there may be at least one episode from the first two seasons.

If you are considering order this, look at the cover and see if you remember the episodes on the cover. If you don't remember them or don't like them don't get it unless you are a big fan of the show. Instead, get a used copy of one of the VHS versions, They have better episodes than this."
Great, now that it's on DVD

"I miss this show sooooo bad. I was like 6 or 7 when I watched this show and it was great!!!. I'm 15 now and I sometimes still remember old episodes or wish it would still be on!! WHY??? can't there be any good cartoons on in this era. NO!! we have to sit and watch 24 hours of Japaneese CRAP. Well the DVD is great and get it if u liked the show"
