THE COLLECTOR is the real deal, my friends. There are very few times that I watch a movie and I'm genuinely unnerved by the prospect of turning off the lights and facing the darkness. Well, THE COLLECTOR did that!! Arkin is a handyman that is in a very bad bind. His ex-wife is in debt to a loan shark and the deadline of that debt is midnight. In desperation, he decides to rob the house that he had just finished working on. The occupants are supposed to on vacation for 2 weeks, so a simple in and out. Right? Wrong. Soon after entering the house, Arkin discovers that someone else has beat him to it. Someone deadly, and who kills without remorse. I don't want to reveal any more of the plot. That would be cruel. I'll just say prepare yourself for a rollercoast ride of terror that provides a good solid punch to the gut, stealing your breath away. Yeah, THE COLLECTOR is just that good!!
