If you are the kind of person who gas difficulty suspending disbelief, or who needs deep and meaningful dialogue or professional acting skills, or if you are asking why any adult would watch nonsense like this, you should probably leave this review now, and go watch some Italian Neo-realism or whatever it is that you highbrow types like. This DVD is pure, unadulterated funkiness. It's crazy-awesome classic tokusatsu tv from back in the 1970s, when men were real men, women were real women, and giant robots and rubber-suited villains ruled the airwaves in Japan. If you're a fan of Ultraman, Spectreman, Mirrorman, Kamen Rider, or of Super Sentai programs ("Ranger" shows, like Jetman, Goranger, Bioman, Dynaman, or the Power Rangers franchise), or of Godzilla movies, then you will probably dig this show. SRRB has a place in the history of tokusatsu, and although it has been overshadowedby the Ultra Series and Kamen Rider, it is worth a look, if oly from a historical perspective. Now, if only we could get a DVD releae of the sequel series, Super Robot Mach Baron...
