22 episode series which ran on ABC in 1986. It continues the story 15 years on from John Carpenter's 1984 film of the same name, and I think, surpasses the movie in every sense. It's similar to the Incredible Hulk series (except with UFO dynamics) in that each episode of the series had the fugitives moving from place to place meeting people that were in need of some assistance.

I've a friend in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who invested months watching this series when it originally transmitted. On the night the last episode was to air, ABC had a basketball game run into overtime, which ended up running over the entire 22nd episode of Starman. My friend said he rode his bike all the way into town to the local ABC station the next day, went into the lobby and demanded they play the final episode. In retrospect, he said he probably appeared to be acting like some sort of lunatic consumed by rage. And they didn't re-schedule the last episode either. Well, I brought this series up north recently and we watched the final episode together. So he finally got to see it. It wasn't very good. All rather anticlimactic, I suppose.

These are MOD discs by the way, released in 2012.
