1990 American science fiction horror film directed by Tobe Hooper and starring Brad Dourif, whose character learns that his parents were part of a secret atomic bomb experiment by the government, to see if they could make people immune to nuclear blasts. As an adult, he discovers he has the power of something akin to pyrokinesis. He seems partially able to control fire and electricity, although most of it happens in Incredible Hulk-like outbursts, and with terrible consequences to his body afterwards. These scenarios provide a bunch of real whacked out incidents, several of which I had to rewind and watch again. Overall, this title is quite obscure. I watched it several times and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, like most films from this era, much midi madness is contained in the incidental music. Being a musician, this was an extra source of amusement for me.
