But it feels real. A "life of the party" guy is hampered by his absentee dad, his general lack of motivation, and his alcohol consumption. He becomes romantically involved with a sweet, innocent, bookish, wallflower-type, and I spent a good deal of time telling her to dump him NOW. The resolution is satisfying if inconclusive.
