"slow burner"? Sure, if you want to see every scene taken to it's full conclusion. A man is going to go into the bathroom and take his pills? This filmmaker will show you every single second of the process, and make it pretty boring. Is a man watching a pair of strippers? Yes, and you will get to see pretty much their entire, uninspired performance. Is the daughter of said man skating on the ice? Yes, she is, and you will get to see nearly her entire routine as well. That's about where I shut it off - I was bored out of my mind. This is terrible filmmaking. If there's a good story, I don't have the patience to sit through all the banal garbage to get to it, and I shouldn't have to.

Sofia Coppola films are definitely an acquired taste. I'm all for a slow burner, but this movie just crawls along and doesn't really seem to go ANYWHERE (instead of "somewhere"...haha...I should do stand-up). But seriously, the kid & some random guy playing Wii, Stephen Dorff's character sitting there with plaster on his face, him smoking a cigarrette staring into space...ugh! I'm sure I'll get some thumbs down, but color me "bored".
