The adventures of Sinbad take place on land with stunning landscapes + cool sets of Arabian cities, castles, and labyrinths - though the water monster prowling the ship was awesome. Each episode is a new adventure with new characters thrown in for that show. No foul language, no gratuitous sex but lots of swashwashbuckling sword action, of course. The handful of ship's crew has great chemistry. It's shocking to me the series was not extended. The producers claim "Sinbad's story has been told" is a lame excuse. So, it ended up being a 12-part mini-series. Well worth the watch.

Beautiful scenery and locations, good casting and acting (especially Elliot Knight as Sinbad), and plots that are fresh and exciting while giving proper respect to the familiar mythology. In the original lore, Sinbad was a devout Muslim on a spiritual journey; in this series he is apparently Muslim but his religion is not part of the story. It's pure fantasy adventure. Nothing to criticize except that only one season was filmed!
