Excellent Movie

"This movie is excellent. I rented it through Net Flix, but I'm going to have to buy it. I am responding to a calling from God just like this man in the movie was, and I am going through some of the things this guy went through, and will go through much more in the future that this guy went through. I relate to this movie so much. Excellent story."
Good Choice

"This is really a good movie with an acurate story line. The trials and test of the pastor's faith happen in every church throughout the country. Unfortunately, some very sincere, caring pastors are faced with the same accusations, but thank God, the truth will always prevail over lies and deceit. I do recommend this faith based movie wholeheartly to all gospel movie collectors. I do wish that some singing could have been incorporated into the film though...but the song on the radio in the opening scene is right on time."
Saw it a different way

"This appears to be the third review of this movie and I'm afraid I just saw it a different way.
There is a good story here and I know it does match the trial that many pastors go through. The main character does match the title as he is certainly a man of pure heart, motivation and character. We would all do well to see the need of our fellow man and respond.
I can see that the film was acted, produced and otherwise put together on a small budget and some small budget films come together and are pleasing to the senses. As a matter of fact, I've seen many Christian films and drama and skits that have been very good and mirroring a professional production .
If we're to be perfectly honest, this film just doesn't get there. The acting is so choppy and pronounced that it resembles no human interaction I have ever seen. The characters meant to carry this movie are, quite frankly, outworked by the supporting cast of kids.
Unfortunately the movie also correctly portrays the "social gospel"; folks attending churches and giving offerings to be seen and appreciated in the eyes of men.
We need many more Minister Upton's (main character) to seek the pleasure of the King and not the respect of men. For that alone, I offer three stars.
