""The Shelter"
The New Israeli Cinema

Israeli cinema has come a long way and this is personified by "The Shelter", a film that is very serious. An Israeli father and son are forced into a shelter to take refuse when they realize that Israel is under attack from missiles. When the eleven year old son awakes the next morning, he hears from his father that Israel has suffered some tremendous military blows and they must remain in the shelter. They are forced to accustom themselves to a new reality of life in a shelter and there may never be a chance for them to emerge from it. They are forced to deal with the issues of food and water and also with the fact that the boy's mother had dies just six months prior. The son soon comes to understand that his father is keeping some secrets from him. This is an expertly acted thriller that will keep the viewer on the edge of his chair.
