Was real excited to get this to watch it, only to be very disappointed. Reviews seem to be mixed so watch at your own risk!

I am not a fan of science fiction, blood, gore, and having had not great love affairs in my life, not a fan of love stories. So why did I watch this movie? A friend put it on, not telling me what it was. I fell in love. With the movie. It is possible to see beyond the horrific scenes of violence. I did.

I felt that the character Elisa most compelling. Her interest and love for what has been compared to a �Creature of the Black Lagoon� is stirred by her recognition, that they both share a quality making them misfits and, in a way, less than human.

The acting is exquisite, as is the cinematography. I am sorry the film did not win every award it was nominated for. This movie has my vote for the best romance I have ever seen. I can relate to this movie, particularly because I too am a misfit.

I highly recommend this movie to all.

I don’t know how this movie won so many oscars it starts out very prevented and continues down that road the entire movie this movie should have been rated more then R maybe X rated because that’s all they do the entire movie and lots of blood so not a good movie if your not a fan of blood I couldn’t even finish this no talent movie it was plain dumb and boring save yourself a credit and if you must see this rent it for free from your local library or a place like Netflix because it’s just that bad oh and I would have gave this no stars if I could
