OMG, I can so relate to "Jane"! This is a funny look at a serious issue.

I love this movie and find it charming.
Charisma is always great in anything she does and although I don't know how believable it is that a woman as beautiful and humorous as Carpenter would have such a hard time finding a decent mate ,romantic comedies aren't exactly known for their realism so I suppose thats part of the fun.

The other aspect of the movie was seeing Holly Marie Combs play a character so unlike the ones she usually portrays who at first impression seems bitchy , shallow and unlikable , but soon reveals a lot of depth and who goes on to have a real and what I believe would turn out to be a lasting friendship with Carpenter's character.
I believe thats an important component of the movie that I haven't seen mentioned in the reviews here.

If you like nicely done, well put together romantic comedies then you would likely enjoy this.

This was a made for Tv movie so dont expect a well written,tight, funny chick flick. One thing that seems OFF was that you saw a lot of cleavage on the three main female actresses. I mean some real boobs just falling out of shirts. What is the deal with that? Chicks dont care to see flabby 1/2 exposed boobs. That is just bad editing, they were not trying to be sexy, just bad camera angels. So a chick flick that wasnt all that good, bad wardrobes. I thought I would like it cause it was from a book. I am sure the book was better.

"Charisma Carpenter is such a talented actress and beautiful woman. This movie, seen many times on ABC Family and now on DVD is so well put together and highlights Charisma's acting ability. She should do more movies like this. I do my best to view all movies that I know she is in. She is more talented then many so called actresses on screen today she puts them to shame. The movie is just a pleasure to watch."

"Having read the novel, I decided it was time to see the film. However I must admit that I was never a fan of Charisma Carpenter, but I really enjoyed her in this film.



See Jane Date is about finding the one....but having to date all the losers to get to Mr Right.



Jane's cousin is getting married to a high flying internet exec, and having a fancy expensive wedding. Jane feels she can't turn up alone, so starts going on a series of dates to find her "date" for the wedding.



The book maybe more detailed, but the film is pretty much right on. However I am suprised that they cast Holly Marie Combs in the role of Natasha Nutley....but she's very good in the role and has a very nice wardrobe.



I would recommend this film for anyone who has needs a laugh or has gone through the hell of dating..haha"

"we just watched this movie and it was very funny. even my husband liked it and watch the whole movie with me. if a man can watch a movie of a girl trying to find a date for her aunts daughters wedding, it must be good."
