Oh, what a difference a year makes. The crew of classic 1972 series Sealab 2020 has been replaced with a gang of misfits unfit for public service. Their mission: to investigate underwater colonization. They are doing a ver... more »y bad job.« less
"I've loved this show the first time it I saw it late one sunday night. The adult humor and quirkyness make Sealab 2021 a definate standout. The lack of decent animation actually makes these short cartoons ten times better. When you hear the characters speak in extreme and emotional tones only to be portrayed with about 5 different facial expressions and only about 3 total body postures, it makes it all the more hilarious. The BIZARRO episode by itself is worth the price of this DVD. I own season 1 which is in constant rotation with my other DVD's. The genious writting will have you and your friends quoting all of Captian murphy's insane lines. Sparks, the introverted and psychiotic eyes and ears of Sealab has gotta be my favoirte character. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for this. If you love Aqua Teen Hunger Force or Space Ghost, this cartoon is perfect for you. "look turtle face, Star Wars!""

"This is one great, hilarious show that everyone with a sense of humor will enjoy from beginning to end. Well the Season 1 dvd set contained 2 episodes from season 2, but yet this is called Season 2. My guess is there just gonna contain some epsiodes from Season 3 in this set. And its only 145 minutes long.

"As far as content goes, I find that this 2nd season DVD of Sealab is much better than the first, as far as packages go. It almost seemed like with the first set of DVDs, sales were not expected to warrant anything more than just the episodes, with no extras at all.
Indeed, there are commentary tracks on all of the episodes. However, 70/30 only try to do a real commentary for a few episodes before they become bored and just record themselves entertaining themselves. They shoot skeet, they play computer games, they play air hockey, they bowl; and it's funny. But if you're looking for a lot of insight into the show, you're not going to find too much.
The tribute to Harry Goz is the closest thing you're going to find on this DVD set to a 'real' extra, in that it's the only 'serious' extra.
And thank christ for that.
The 20 questions with the cast segment is also quite fun, but it only features four cast members.
And if you like strippers, you'll like the 2nd disk.
I say, this is a solid buy for a regular Sealab fan, and a Must for the Sealab Afficionado.
Wait til you get to the Comic Book Commentary. Excellent."

"What can I say about this collection? I liked season one but this season two collection is just so much better! It is just plain funnier. The writing has definitely hit its stride and the episodes are all just so different from one another but just so enjoyable. The episode where sealab is shown in the dark for the entire episode with only voices and a few air bubbles is freaking hilarious! "Hey Quinn, It's Captain Murphy". Or the episode where Murphy is trying to find the "pro shop". Or "TinFins". And don't let me forget the BIZARRO episode. I don't think any one of these 13 episodes is weak unlike a few on the season one collection. Plus bonus material this time, such as containing an unaired "rough" episode where Murphy sells his soul to the devil for some pie. Funny. If you are a fan of the show, you probably own this already. If not, go and buy it now, it is not very expensive and you will laugh out loud a lot!"
