Movie Reviews

Is there an unrated version in the house?
Mark | USA | 04/13/2006
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Unless there's an unrated version floating around with unexpurgated sex scenes featuring Nicole Oring, "Sapphire Girls" has almost nothing whatsoever to recommend it. Somehow, the creators of this R-rated study in ineptitude have managed to conceive a Thalidomide baby of a movie about a trio of has-been female rockers that's neither sexy or suspenseful, in spite of a labored espionage subplot that would've been more at home in a Bond vehicle. (The less said about the "rock" music here, the better.) Particularly sleazy is the misleading package art, ripped off from "Sexual Intrigue," which wants the prospective customer to believe this is a steamy thriller. I gave this a single star, but only because Amazon's review system eschews an option of 0."
