Seeking a “Safe Haven” after an abusive relationship with her husband (a cop), Katie (Julianne Hough) lands in Southport, North Carolina with hopes of a peaceful life without fear. Reluctantly she falls for a local widowed father of two (Josh Duhamel) before her dangerous husband tracks her down. I particularly loved seeing a small performance from Red West… formerly a member of the “Memphis Mafia” and close buddy of Elvis Presley!

Based on Nicholas Sparks Novel where action and drama overweigh the chick flick romance side of it. My rating would have been higher but there were a couple flaws in the plotline that could have been smoother. Beautiful backgrounds and scenery. Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough shine in this and it is a must if you are a fan of them!
