"What is Rob Schrab smoking?" -- Oliver Stone "[A] Peanuts-on-LSD saga." -- TeeVee.com "Rob Schrab is the mad genius that has dabbled in nearly every corner of the arts, from comic books (Scud: The Disposable Assassin) to... more » television (he co-wrote the unaired pilot Heat Vision and Jack) to film (he designed the brainwashing sequence in Zoolander and co-wrote the upcoming Monster House)." -- UGO.com Underrated and full of talent, Rob Schrab is a comic book creator, actor, director, writer, and film producer. In 2004 he co-created, with partner Dan Harmon, the alternative television network/website Channel 101, which spawned the original VH-1 series Acceptable TV produced by Schrab, Harmon, and Jack Black. He also created the comic book Scud: The Disposable Assassin, which was optioned as a possible film by Oliver Stone in 1997. Schrab, along with Dan Harmon, wrote the cult television pilot Heat Vision and Jack starring Owen Wilson & Jack Black and directed by Ben Stiller. Despite the Fox Network not picking up Heat Vision, the pilot gained an online following and is still widely shown at film festivals. A script for the Heat Vision and Jack feature film is in the works. Additionally, Rob Schrab co-wrote the script for Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis' animated film Monster House. Recently, he has been directing (as well as appearing in) the Sarah Silverman Program for Comedy Central, and he directed the video "Crooked Teeth" for Death Cab For Cutie's DVD Signs. Twigger's Holiday, Schrab's mixture of live action and animation, was in Channel 101's prime time slot for five consecutive months. Twigger's pilot episode rocketed straight to #1 in March 2004, propelled by a refreshingly simple, childish energy and catchy original songs. This DVD collection contains all five episodes, with director commentary and bonus features exclusive to this release.« less
