Don't blame Zane Grey for this!

"Other than the great western author's name posted with the description of this video, I find no evidence that he had anything to do with it. I've watched the serial a couple of times and Zane Grey is nowhere given credit, nor is the title listed in any Zane Grey bibliography I've found.Be that as it may, this is a quite uninteresting western serial from Mascot. The best acting comes from Rin Tin Tin and from Rex, the Wonder Horse, but they don't have enough to do to save it. Even classic silent comedian, Ben Turpin with his crossed eyes, does little to help.Rex is kidnapped, or horsenapped, from the hero. The hero goes to get his horse back, and discovers the kidnapper murdered in the horse's stall. He spends most of the 12 chapters eluding the law and trying to prove that Rex is his horse and to clear his name. You're not told who the actual murderer is until the final chapter, and the revelation doesn't warrant any more than a shrug of the shoulders. Not recommended unless you have every other serial available on video and think you have to have this one."
