"I think this is the sweetest, best directed, Soviet-era movie I have seen. The actors are GRRRRRRRReat! But pleeeeease be sure not to watch it dubbed into English! You can watch it in its original Russian with English subtitles. Well worth watching if you have any interest in movies about Soviet countries, human relationships, or food! Enjoy it!

P.S. The lead actress (who is in her 70's now) is on you-tube singing!!

P.P.S. Watch the additional interviews with the actors (only after watching the movie!). They are very interesting."

"I got this movie as netfilx recommondation. This is bit lengthy movie, comes in two discs.

Once I start watching, I was trapped by it's screenplay. It was blended well and love between two strangers on railway station is worth watching it once."
