I consider it the most "Russian" in feel and presentation -- there is a strength, an energy, and a finesse in this version that the other two lack. Bessmertnova, as always, is beautiful and the epitome of grace. Vladimirov is incredible as Ivan -- he begins as a youthful, brooding character and gradually becomes a sinister, rather paranoid, but powerful leader.
