"There are 8 Fights/16 Fighters from all over the world on this 4:3 screen, stereo audio, very clear picture quality dvd:
The fights:
Maurico "Shogun" Rua vs. Yasuhito Namekawa - This is a leg and knee strike clinic. The kind I hope to never attend.
Henry "Sentoryu" Miller vs. Mal Foki - Two Big Bodies, Two Big Strikers here.
Luiz "Buscape" Firmino vs. Masakazu Imanari - A good match up. Aggressive, with a focus on ground control/grappling.
Ikuhisa "The Punk" Minowa vs. Ryuki Ueyama - Mostly on the ground. Sort of a mismatch in my book. As in a lanky body versus a solid, wrestler type build.
Igor Vovchanchyn vs. Shanoji Fujii - Igor is scary to me, and that's precisely why I want to see more. Brute strength and power on display.
Ryo Chonan vs. Carlos Newton - All around good action and technique here. Some effective knee work. This is a good match up.
Crosley Gracie vs. Hayato "Mach" Sakurai - a leaner build against a stout one. Gracie is an alternate spelling of Jiu Jitsu.
Takanori Gomi vs. Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennet - Yes. This one answers my entertainment inquiry.
***
There's a pretty good variety of well executed fighting technique on this dvd, and it's one I'll be watching more than once. 4 Stars.
The Special Features provide a lot of info, I'll post them in the comments section to keep this short."
