I love bad movies; absolutely love 'em! I own most of the Syfy channel's original movies, as well as most of The Asylum Studios output (they are most known for the "Sharknado" series). Ed Wood Jr.'s movies, as badly constructed as they are, do have an enthusiasm and low budget charm to them.

Making an homage/ pseudo-remake of his most popular movie, well still being a low budget movie, and adding its own spin on things! Featuring some well known genre actors/ actresses, on paper, everything about this movie should be not only right up my alley, but one helluva fun ride!

I don't know if it is the cynical, angry dialogue, or that the alien invasion part is toned down considerably, or weird meta-ness with Criswell (Mr. Lobo) yelling in the beginning that he doesn't understanf why anyone would even remake this movie, then we go into the acutal movie- so, are we watching the remake? Or is this happening after whatever he was filming? This meta idea is never brought up, referenced, or in any way, shape, or form dealt with again.

Even if you love bad movies, this film sucks, and is just a bad cash grab using a title most are familiar with to make some money on unsuspecting fans. It is a load of shit, and I strongly advise all to stay far away.
