"It's about time they put some sort of home video/DVD out! Papa Roach's "Live And Murderous In Chicago", recorded on May 1st, 2005, has the group at their best, touring in support of their surprise hit album "Getting Away With Murder." Consider this a victory lap for a band who was written off as one-hit wonders when their sophomore release, "Lovehatetragedy" was considered a flop by most standards.
I saw these guys live when they were touring for "Infest" (back in 2001) and let me tell you: The energy and passion was there, but they sounded horrible. Here, they sound just as passionate, but the songs actually sound good as well! Jacoby doesn't miss lyrics and run out of breath like he did when I saw them (due in part probably to his weight loss) and the band is extremely tight. Throughout the 19 song set, Papa Roach rip through all of their hits, capping off with what is still, to this day, their best song: "Between Angels And Insects." To keep things interesting, they change the make-up of a few of their older hits. "Infest" gets a complete make-over, and "Broken Home" fades out with a brief cover of Queens Of The Stone Age's "Feel Good Hit Of The Summer." The b-side "Harder Than A Coffin Nail" surfaces as well, and really, this song should have made the album. Very dark and very different from most Papa Roach material. Songs like "M-80" and "Not Listening" translate much better live than they did on album, which is what makes this DVD worth getting. If you enjoyed Papa Roach's music before, they take it to the next level with their live show. I wish they had come near me during this touring cycle, because they sure have improved since I saw them!
The DVD also comes with the complete (sort of) Papa Roach videography and a rather pointless photo gallery (aren't they all?). The videos are all good and entertaining, my favorites being "She Loves Me Not" and "Between Angels And Insects." An alternate version of "Time And Time Again" replaces the version that we had in the States. I believe this was a European video, and it's actually much better than our version, which translated into a commercial for that wretched Pepsi Blue (remember that stuff?). My only gripes are that: A. The videos are edited, which is kinda dumb, seeing as how this DVD promotes explicit lyrics and B. The "Last Resort" video is very grainy and the audio is much lower than the other videos. I guess the latter doesn't bother me though, as it was a pretty corny video, and those emo-lookin' kids are kind of a drag. So, altogether, with the live concert and the music videos, this is an item that any Papa Roach fan would love."
This Is Amazing.

"This concert DVD actually captures the exact feeling of being at a Papa Roach show . I saw them both times they came to Vegas on this tour , and I know they didn't cut any songs from the DVD that they played live on the tour; It's the same setlist they played for the entire tour . The concert footage was awesome , great audio and video for the entire thing . The music videos were good as well , but they were still edited and they put a different cut of the "Time and Time Again" video on the DVD . The photo gallery was pretty pointless and the Easter Egg , even though pointless , was pretty funny . The setlist was as follows...
2. Dead Cell
3. Not Listening
4. She Loves Me Not
5. M-80 (Explosive Energy Movement)
6. Getting Away With Murder
7. Be Free
8. Life Is A Bullet
9. Blood
10. Done With You
11. Harder Than A Coffin Nail
12. Blood Brothers
13. Born With Nothing, Die With Everything
14. Hit Me - Hip Hop version
15. Take Me
16. Scars
17. Broken Home
18. Cocaine
19. Last Resort
20. Between Angels and Insects
Definently a worthy buy for any Papa Roach fan , whether casual or die-hard .

"It was a long time coming for P,Roach to come out with a DVD but finally they did and hell was it a good one. THis Dvd run's in my house from day to dawn to night to fall everyday. I mean how can't it it haves all their videos (though sensored) and many of their songs sung live.
From the videos i mostly liked she loves me not and Between angels and insects.
But what blew me away was the live concert. Wow if its the drummer smoking and playing or Tobin's great playing of the bass this is a dvd that keeps u coming back for more, not to mention Jacoby's voice sounds better much much better then before.
These are a few surprises and dissapointments:
1-Last Resort had the biggest response from the crowd (others were Getting away with, Blood Brothers and ext) which surprise me with all the hate that song has generated.
2-Between Angels and Insects was played last proving that it is still their best song.
3-THey did not play "Time and Time Again"
4-Jacoby sang scars in spanish
5-The song Blood sucked live for some reason.
6-Jacoby's voice never ever fades out
This is a must own DVD guaranteed!!!"
Great, and well worth the wait

"It was really good. It was also nice to see and hear jacoby sing scars in spanish. The music videos some I had not seen so they were great as well. The Easter Egg I have not gotten to work yet but oh well. Great and definitely worth the wait of a papa roach dvd."

"Papa Roach is amazing once again. They never seem to dissapoint. Watching the dvd put me right back into one of their shows. I could actually say they are one of the best bands I've seen live and and even on the dvd you can see the energy Papa Roach puts out in the performances. All the hardcore fans would love it and I can definitely gurantee that especially if you have ever seen them for live. The Performances were definitely the best part of the dvd and worth getting...seriously."
