Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Paloma Herrera began her training at the age of 7, and by age 14 she was awarded Finalist Diploma at the XIV Varna International Ballet Competition. In 1991, at 15, Paloma moved to New York... more » and continued her studies at the School of American Ballet, where she was given the lead role in Balanchine s Raymonda Variation. After only six months, she joined the American Ballet Theatre.
