Movie Reviews

A great concert!
Matthew G. Sherwin | last seen screaming at Amazon customer service | 01/25/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This showcases how even in her later years Ella was a master of jazz, improvisation and communication through musical jazz. I wish the DVD were longer; but the quality of Ella's work is worth the price. The Tommy Flanagan Trio does an excellent job of accompanying Ella as they always did. I would recommend this DVD for Ella fans and for fans of jazz in general."
Ella is on Fire

"This is Ella at her later best, If you never saw Ella live during the 70's and 80's here is your chance! Albeit short it is very good, Ella's later years I think she was more creative especially with her scatting. I highly recommend, it's probably less money than price of the original ticket for the performance, Everlasting Ella Fitzgerald. Jerry in Seattle"
5 Stars for Ella , negative 10 stars for production

"How does a title like this make it onto the market? Do they not have quality control? This is my second purchase of the same title, i thought i may have just had a dud the first time, what a shame for a wonderful lady! Of course she looks great and the sound is superb, but it would be nice to have those in sync!"
Another Great Ella Concert!

"Here's another treasure of Ella's! I highly recommend this DVD, Ella again displaying her gifts, a nice mixture of swing\jazz, ballads and two current songs of 70's and some amazing scatting!!!"
