"New York Blood is a low budget gangster/horror movie that's heavy on the gore. It's a tragic father and son story that stars Vinnie Stigma as the son and Marvin W. Schwartz as the father. Vinnie's father has just been released from prison and although there is bad blood between him and his father he wants to take care of the old man. The story works and the ending is fantastic but the lead character played by Vinnie Stigma comes across as false, he is covered in tattoos and looks like he should be in another movie, perhaps a rock n roll type film. But what saves this movie is the the actor who plays his father Lorenzo, (Marvin W. Schwartz) his performance is layered, interesting and authentic, and as screwed up as he is you actually like him, his character and performance are the heart and soul of the story and it's what makes this movie work. If you like gangster movies and horror movies then New York Blood is worth checking out, it's actually an original piece of work."

"The latest project from writer, director, cinematographer Nick Oddo is a criminal slice of life starring Vinnie Stigma, guitarist of the legendary hardcore band AGNOSTIC FRONT. Heavily-tattooed Vinnie (Stigma) is a mid-range mobster who works the streets of Manhattan's Lower East Side with various schemes, including up-and-coming boxers, Chinatown drugs and opening a new nightclub. Vinnie's father Lorenzo (Marvin W. Schwartz), has just been released from Sing Sing after a 12 year stint, and the only thing on Pop's mind is getting revenge. He might seem like a quiet old dude, but just wait until he tracks down "the rat" who put him behind bars - carving out his eyeball, then making him drink bleach! The laid back, rambling script mostly follows Vinnie, and sometimes Lorenzo, throughout their daily routine, capturing the rhythms (and occasional roadbumps) in Vinnie's life, as he juggles a young son and an ex-wife with his coke snorting criminal ambitions. But while Vinnie keeps a relatively level head when it comes to crime, Lorenzo is a major psychopath who's liable to ruin everything his son has built. The film is extremely well cast - Stigma absolutely nails his role and Schwartz is one scary guy. - while Oddo makes excellent use of the San Genaro Feast and crappy New York City apartments. Disposing of some pesky corpses provides a highlight, the conclusion is nasty, and Oddo tosses in plenty of gratuitous nudity from Stigma's small stable of working girls. NEW YORK BLOOD is an authentic, gritty, brutal, and unexpectedly sadistic portrait of family ties and what to do when they begin to chafe.
