I was too young to appreciate this show in the late '80s and the '90s, but really enjoyed watching the first season recently. I consider it to be a keeper I will watch again. The writing, Candice Bergen and the ensemble cast are wonderful. I wish more seasons were available to watch anywhere! I understand there are issues with the music licensing, but you would think they could have figured that out for the reboot at least (though I see that the reboot is available to purchase digitally).
If you like NewsRadio, you will probably like this. It has been a while since I watched NewsRadio, but I felt Murphy Brown focused a lot more on the workplace's actual work, which I found interesting. I have the 4-disc set, which is also currently available to order here. I am pleased with the quality of that set. I can't review the picture or sound quality of this 2-disc set, but I guess it is a bargain in terms of credits. |
