"This set contains reprints of the two recent Mummy films starring Brendan Frasier and also The Scorpion King, notable as The Rock's first starring vehicle. Universal has not added anything new to these discs - in fact, we get the single-disc version of "The Mummy" here and not the ultimate two-disc edition (though to be fair, all it added was cast commentaries and previews for Mummy 2). If you own these films already, this product isn't aimed towards you.
These movies are pure popcorn entertainment. The first works reasonably well as an Indiana Jones homage, and is the strongest of the three. The Mummy Returns brings all the main cast back and adds more, resulting in a very crammed movie that relies too heavily on CG effects, many of which are below par. The Scorpion King is like all of The Rock's other movies - brainless, but charming because The Rock is charming.
Overall it's hard to recommend a set like this because popcorn flicks don't appeal to everyone. But to be fair, they're the kind of popcorn flicks that know exactly what they are and don't try to be epic, serious, or overly pretentious. This is also a very cheap set, making it a nice consideration if you like even one of the flicks."

"Fantastic if you are a fan of the Mummy movies. Excellent. Excellent and graphic."
Romance, action, laughs and Egypt. What more can you want?

"Call me crazy (most do, anyway), but I absolutely adore this series. The first is your classic adventure flick, of course, with all the romance, action and comedy that entails. The second, and my personal favorite, delves much further into the story and cranks up the character development for practically every major character (I even cried for Imhotep at one point. Yeah... you don't want to get me started on that subject). Since I'm such a sucker for that sort of thing, you can bet I was captivated. Scorpion King, while not exactly mind-blowing, is cool for backstory on a previously sketchy character and pure actiony fun. Plus, Mathayus kicks butt in high style. :D
The box set itself is really quite durable, though it might not look it at first glance. An interesting choice, making it out of cardboard like that, but it works nicely. As for the extras and such, I love running through these. Having been fascinated with the ancient country from early childhood, the Egyptology lessons are nothing that I didn't already know, but they make me grin all the same. All in all, there are some lovely goodies in this set, especially the music videos for TMR and SK.
Mind you, I already own the lot of them on VHS (despite the fact that they're in another state with my grandmother while I'm at college), but we all know what happens to those things after so many viewings. So yeah, I didn't think getting one of my favorite series for the price of one new release was such a bad thing.
ps: The guys, particularly Brendan and Oded, are great eye candy. The Rock and Arnold add their own flavor of "hot," too, which is nothing to complain about for this female. A purely superficial thought, I know, and not something I generally pay too much attention to... but frankly, it's true!"

"Heads up, this item is advertised with spanish language, which only applies for the movie The Scorpion King. The other 2 movies (the ones of the Mummy) do not have spanish subtitles or audio."
One of the GREATEST collector's sets of all time

"Universal did a really good job on this one. This has to be one of the greatest movie purchases I ever made in my life. You are basically getting three movies for the price of one. And these are some excellent movies. Obviously, The Mummy is probably the best move of the three. To this day I have never met anyone that didn't like this movie. The Mummy Returns was pretty good too. It is one of those movies that dives into the plot way too fast, but don't let that stop you from buying it. It is still an overall good movie. The Scorpian King is a suprisingly good movie as well. The Rock really was phenominal. You will love it. All this and I still haven't even mentioned the collector's box. It is prbably the best you will ever find. Real good quallity, not just some old cardboard wrapped around some DVDs like some other sets. This is just an overall good purchase."
