A wonderful, heartwarming, faith-based movie that's not too "churchy."
Synopsis: A richly textured portrait of small-town America, the loving bonds of family, and the arduous, but intimately rewarding journey from heartache to hope.
Sophia Miles (Della Reese) and her husband, Rev. Nathaniel (John Beasley) have a devoted marriage and are the lifeblood of their small town's tightly-knit moral fabric. When the Reverend passes away, Sophia finds herself at a loss. Evicted from her family home and stricken by grief, Sophia is convinced that she should leave the town behind. At the same time, a double-dealing real estate broker (Rue McClanahan) threatens to irrevocably overturn the peaceful community with a dubious scheme, and Sophia comes to realize that she may be the only one with the power, the wits, and the will to stop it, even if it means giving up her last chance for a new beginning.
