"10-year old Gus (Jordan Christopher Michael) steals a car and travels across a bizarre Southwestern landscape, playing a road game called "Motorama." He encounters many eccentric characters, mostly nasty, and endures all sorts of abuse, growing gradually older until, at the end of his life.... Ignore the idiotic cover; oppressive heterosexism is refreshingly absent here."

"I stopped counting the number of times i've watched Motorama after 56. It is the Godfather of all independent films, with it's vividly strange scenes. Put the $.79 bag of cheap popcorn in the microwave and get ready for a trip into the very heart of twisted bizarre insanity! The story of Motorama is pretty basic, a kid from a broken home steals a classic 1965 candy apple red mustang and goes on a quest to collect all the Motorama cards, you get Motorama game cards with every purchase of $5 worth of gasoline from any Chimera station. If you get all 8 of the letters that spell out "Motorama" you are elegible for the grand prize of $500million! With that kind of money Gus could leave his disgusting abusive parents behind and live the good life. Gus cashes in his pennies for gas money, steals a mustang and heads off in search of the illusive Motorama cards. Everything seems normal and your waiting for a state trooper to see this 10 year old driving an expensive classic car and take him to Juvenille Hall. But after gus washes his face in a little creek off the side of the road, you find that you along with Gus have taken one step too many, crossed into the world of the bizarre and there's no turning back baby! The twisted and dimented characters, along with the open landscape and dark shadows that mirror reality make Motorama a classic among independent movie fans. Gus is on a quest, an odyssey through the most exotic of imaginations, come hell or highwater he's gonna get those cards and you better just give him his space! I highly recommend this movie for anyone with a wild imagination and an open mind."
