"MONA LISA SMILE is a funny, inspiring and uplifting film about an art history professor with a lot to teach about life and much to learn about romance.
Quite the crafty decades ago drama that you come to expect from Julia Roberts. The last third part of the movie fizzled alot. A common theme should have been left out of this but it was pretty minor.

I saw this again a week or so ago and was intrigued by how similar in theme it was to "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". Not quite a remake, but the theme of the teacher risking her career to help educate her students and overcome the stereotypes of their times is quite similar. These two would make a good double feature.

Good story of what should have been a simpler time. The complex relationships of women and the learning process that is the hard part of life's education is at the heart of this movie. EXCELLENT!
