Stars network has been generating some real quality viewing the past few years, in conjunction with the BBC. The first season of The Missing had some absolutely outstanding scripting. Season two keeps the steam going. Eight episodes for each season, each one hauntingly brilliant and compelling. And entirely plausible. Both seasons are at around 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Completely different type of missing person case here in season two, and the retired French investigator Baptiste ends up tracking the clues through multiple countries, even a hot war zone, whilst wrestling with the encroaching effects of a burgeoning brain tumor. Solid acting alumni here with seasoned British talent. I think the RSC must train folks to cry at will, cause there might be well over a hundred examples here, or more. You'll be rather shocked how all the loose ends are tied up. The final scene is with Baptiste being put under for his surgery, and it now looks like it was confirmed in April 2018 that a spin-off series entitled Baptiste is in production. So, does that mean he survives? We shall see. Highly recommend!
